You will lead initiatives to develop intelligent, data-driven products that are more personalized, accessible, and valuable to millions of Vietnamese families. This is a high-impact role where you will translate complex data into strategic product roadmaps and tangible business outcomes, working at the intersection of technology, actuarial science, and customer-centric innovation.

Core Responsibilities

 

You will be the driving force behind our data-centric product development, responsible for:

  • End-to-End Product Modeling: Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust statistical and machine learning models that directly inform new insurance product features, pricing strategies, and risk assessment frameworks.

  • Advanced Analytics & Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses on diverse datasets—including actuarial, risk, financial, and consumer data—to uncover opportunities for product innovation, customer segmentation, and lifetime value prediction.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Actuarial, Product Management, Marketing, and IT teams to define business problems, integrate data science solutions into the product development lifecycle, and ensure successful implementation.

  • Strategic Recommendation: Present data-driven insights and business recommendations clearly and persuasively to stakeholders at all levels, from peers to executive leadership, influencing key product decisions and strategy.

  • Mentorship & Best Practices: Champion a culture of data excellence by guiding junior data scientists and establishing best practices for coding, model validation, and reproducible research.

Who We Are Looking For: Qualifications & Skills

 

We are seeking a visionary data scientist who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for solving real-world business challenges in a dynamic industry.

Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree (Ph.D. or Master's) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in data science, with a proven track record of deploying models that have driven product or business impact.

  • Substantial experience in the insurance, fintech, or a related financial services domain is highly preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills:

Must-Have Expertise Preferred & Bonus Skills
Mastery of Python for data analysis and machine learning (Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow). Experience with Prophet or other actuarial modeling software.
Expert-level proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases. Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs)Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and their practical applications.
Deep knowledge of probability theory, statistics, and machine learning methods (e.g., regression, classification, time-series analysis). Experience with cloud-based data platforms like DatabricksAWS SageMaker, or GCP Vertex AI.
Experience with the full model lifecycle: from ideation and data gathering to production deployment and monitoring. Knowledge of experiment design (A/B testing) and modern product analytics practices.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences. Fluent business English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
